Design
Everything we manufacture, purchase and use has been designed by someone, or more likely, by a team of different specialists. We have more sophisticated requirements than our early ancestors, and the aesthetics of contemporary products are often as significant as their function. Today's designers are involved in synthesising all aspects of objects we buy and use to ensure they are useful and desirable products.
Increasingly designers and manufacturers are becoming more environmentally aware and design products that seek to deploy energy and materials more efficiently, in their manufacture, use and disposal.
