Request for information on widening participation, particularly projects relating to media and work that has been done in Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Following the research into widening participation in Higher Education Art and Design carried out by Dr Caroline Hudson on behalf of the Council for Higher Education in Art & Design (CHEAD), the Arts Council England (ACE) and ADM-HEA and the subsequent report and seminar ‘Transforming research findings’, a further publication has been commissioned, working alongside ukadia, with Dr Dipti Bhagat and Dr Peter O Neil from London Metropolitan University appointed as editors.

The primary aim of this is an anthology of all research and other relevant work that  might effectively be used to inform the development of practice, policy and research on widening participation in the broad subject areas of Art Design and Media. It is anticipated that this will be a rich and valuable resource for the support of learning and teaching in Art Design and Media.

The editors  are in the final stages of editing and collating all materials received so far. As they are keen to capture all relevant research they are putting out a final request for contributions. They are particularly interested to hear of any project  that specifically relates to media and work that has been done in Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

All contributions to be received by 30 October.
