How do we work

ukadia is a sub-association of GuildHE, but non-GuildHE members are welcome to join.

We welcome membership from all types of HE Arts providers in all disciplines of the Creative Sector. This includes private and state funded institutions. The network is overseen by the elected Chair Professor Paul Gough, Arts University Bournemouth.

As well as formal board meetings, ukadia also runs a number of specific WP meetings each year that brings together our access and participation practitioners together to share practice and collaborate. Our successful teacher CPD programme has been running for a number of years and supports our aims and objectives to support the school system in the delivery of high quality arts education.

Our collaborations with other national organisations in developing a coherent policy narrative around the importance of arts and creativity to the health and wellbeing of citizens and the economy is at the forefront of our work. Placemaking, levelling up and working collaboratively with non creative sectors is also of paramount importance. To find out more about our policy work please click here.
