The Power of Collaboration

Since the Skills Academy was founded in 2008, the UK economy has shrunk by 4%. Yet, in the same period, over 6,000 new jobs have been created in the creative and cultural industries.

Together, the Skills Academy network has created over 1,800 Apprenticeships, organised careers events benefitting over 22,000 young people, received nearly 2½ million visits to our careers websites, put students backstage at Glastonbury and built The Backstage Centre, a £13 million centre of excellence. This is what can be achieved, even in an economic downturn, through the power of collaboration. Come and find out more.

This two-day conference will see key decision makers from across the creative and cultural sectors come together to discuss the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead. The event will take place at The Backstage Centre, a unique technical training and rehearsal facility in Purfleet, Essex – less than 30 minutes from central London.
